Exhaust gas after treatment systems
Mivv has a long-standing experience in the manufacturing of various exhaust gas post-treatment systems for several types of two-wheel and four-wheel on and off road vehicles. The knowledge of all the critical issues in the manufacturing of such complex systems is what guarantees a product with maximum design performance.
For petrol engines, we use three-way catalysts (Pt+Td+Rh), which convert the three main polluting elements of petrol engines (CO+HC+NOx) into harmless gases. Mivv is experienced in using both metal and ceramic supports.
This system has become one of the most popular solution in off-road TIER 4i after treatment systems.
It consists of an oxidation catalyst (metal or ceramic) fitted upstream the particulate filter, which ensures the abatement of PM emissions from diesel engines.
In those cases where PM abatement is a result of the adjustment of the engine in the combustion chamber, following the Nox/PM trade-off combustion rule, the use of an SCR catalyst ensures the conversion of excess Nox exhaust gases exiting the engine.
